Well, I came this close to blowing off my lunchtime workout today. "Too cold," "too windy," "I'm tired," "I'll work out later." Whining (only in my head) like a little, er, kid who doesn't want to do something he's supposed to. Boy, I had all the excuses going. But, I gave myself a swift (proverbial) kick in the rear and got myself changed and out on the town lake trail. As a result, I knocked out a 5.3 mile run at an 8:29/mi. pace and feel great (and yes, a little tired) for doing it. It was windy and cool, but otherwise it was a gorgeous day!

. It uses GPS to track your workouts/routes including mile splits, calories burned and pace. I'm not trying to advertise it, but I definitely will vouch for this app--it works great, is free and really does help to keep you motivated to get your feet on the street!
