No appetite/Not enough carbs/ Help!
I am in my second week of induction and have no real appetite which sounds great but I am having a very hard time getting my 20 carbs in! This morning I had 2 eggs with sausage(2oz)and cheese(1oz),lunch was left 5 left over wings with a cup of sliced up zucchini sautéed in butter, an Atkins 3 net carbs bar for a snack, dinner was a bone in pork chop cooked in olive oil(1tbls) with zucchini and a little red onion sautéed all in the same pan. All measured equals about 10 carbs and I am stuffed! It was a delicious day don't get me wrong but eating dinner was forced. I could have passed but I know I shouldn't. Will I lose weight eating like this? I need help from you Atkins lifers who know the ups and downs please? Oh and I am drinking my water.

lettuce, lettuce, lettuce!! And more veggies! Not only will they get that carb count up, but it's the fiber that you will need.

I experienced the same loss of appetite when I first began Atkins. I ate veggies with higher net carb amounts (onion, tomato, avocado, etc...) so I didn't have to eat as much and still got my veggies in. The loss of appetite will pass! It is totally normal, so don't think you aren't doing something right- this is proof that you are! Hang in there!

Thank you both! The week before I had been eating lots of salads but they don't really help in the carb count much as it was pretty much lettuce. But I like the easy fix of just adding higher carb veggies so I don't have to eat as much when I am not hungry. Guess it works both ways though doesn't it lol especially when you are hungry!
